Naturalization Lead Hand ($25-$30/hour)
A Naturalization Lead Hand assists the Crew Lead in overseeing and completing large-scale planting (trees and shrubs), ecological restoration, and habitat creation projects. You'll be responsible for performing a variety of work tasks consisting of both machine operation and physical labour to assist the Crew Lead and Contract Tree Planters in completing Naturalization projects.

- Provides guidance and leadership within the crew
Minimum Requirements and Work Conditions:
- Maintain a valid driver's license in good standing
- Proficient in the unsupervised operation of mini excavator and skid steer for necessary tasks
- Proficient in the safe operation of truck and trailer combination
- Experience in a Lead Hand role and/or extensive experience in large-scale plantings
- Able to lift a minimum of 50lbs repeatedly throughout an entire work shift (8-10 hours)
- Lead others with minimal supervision, and complete small projects independently while upholding Quiet Nature protocols within the crew
- Communicate (verbally and written) with the Crew Lead or Production Manager to update/review the project and plan ahead
- Conduct daily inspections and maintenance on vehicles, tools, and equipment
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment
Landscape Construction - Lead Hands & Crew Members ($24-32.50/hour)
A Quiet Nature Crew Member is responsible for performing a variety of work tasks in order to assist with the completion of landscape construction projects and will operate different tools and specialty pieces of equipment to get things done. You'll have a budding passion for building beautiful, unique spaces and a willingness to learn, grow, push yourself, and generally change the world (or at least the private world of our clients).
You may be coming to us with minimal experience in the industry but an interest in learning something new, working hard, and getting in shape while you do it. Or, you may have a few years of experience in the landscape world with a general sense of what you like and don't like building, and a desire to start honing your specialty and perfecting your craft.
In addition to working with awesome people, we offer:

Contract Tree Planter ($17.50-$20/hour)
The Contract Tree Planter is responsible for performing a variety of work tasks consisting of primarily physical labour to assist the Crew Lead in completing large-scale planting (trees and shrubs), ecological restoration and habitat creation projects. Contract Tree Planters may also be required to assist with the maintenance and operation of our native plant nursery and assist our residential landscape construction crew(s).
Minimum Requirements & Work Conditions:
- Ability to report directly to job sites in various locations, and/or carpool from our shop located in Ayr, Ontario
- Come prepared for work each day: appropriate safety and workwear (ie. steel-toed work boots/shoes, hi-visibility uniform, hard hat, rain gear, sun protection), and sufficient food and water for the workday
- Learn and practice using the required equipment and tools in a safe and responsible manner
- Effective communication skills (both verbal and written)
- Ability to work both independently with little supervision, and as part of a team
- Ability to work with hand tools and materials
- Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs. repeatedly through an entire work shift
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with varied work hours (approximately 10 hours per day) and occasional weekend work
- Work near heavy equipment and other vehicles on a regular basis
- Work outdoors in various conditions including heat and humidity, rain, dust, noise, and cold
