Located in Ayr, Ontario, Quiet Nature is a multiple award-winning landscape design and construction firm focused on the creation of sustainable landscape solutions, ecological restoration projects, water features, natural swim ponds, natural stonework, and walkways & patios.

CURRENT JOB POSTINGS 


Landscape Construction – Experienced Crew Leader ($30-40/hour)

If you love working outside, getting your hands a bit dirty, enjoy creating beautiful spaces for exceptional clients, and would like to be a part of a tight-knit work family – this is the place for you!

The Hardscape Crew Leader is responsible for managing the execution of construction projects ranging from one (1) week to multiple weeks, including planning labour & equipment requirements, material deliveries and timing to ensure completion within project deadlines

It is essential that you share the core values of Quiet Nature (Respect, Efficiency, Creativity, Adaptability, Professionalism and Positivity).

In addition, you must also possess the following:

  • Possess at least five to ten (5-10) years of experience in the landscape/construction industry in a Crew Leader or Lead Hand role
  • Ability to manage jobs with complex grading and elevation changes, multiple material types and sub-trades
  • Capable of operating required equipment and tools in a safe and responsible manner, and possess minimum licensing requirements where necessary
  • Effective communication skills (both verbal and written)
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license (preference given to those possessing and AR license)
  • Proficient in the safe operation of truck and trailer combination
  • Knowledge of specific materials, methods, tools and equipment required to complete various landscape/construction practices
  • The drive to continually seek improvement, knowledge, and certifications

Landscape Construction – Experienced Lead Hand ($25-32/hour)

Quiet Nature Lead Hand will assist their Crew Leader in the completion of all hardscape installation projects and ensure that the job runs in an efficient and productive manner. You'll have a budding passion for building beautiful, unique spaces and a willingness to learn, grow, push yourself, and generally change the world (or at least the private world of our clients). The Lead Hand is responsible for performing a variety of work tasks to assist with the completion of landscape construction projects and will operate different tools and specialty pieces of equipment to get things done.

Our ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience in the landscape world with a strong sense of what you like and don't like building, and a desire to continue honing your specialty and perfecting your craft. You enjoy working hard and are open to joining a team of really great people building very unique landscapes including natural swimming ponds and water features.

Landscape Design, Sales, and Estimator ($65,000-$80,000 annually)

Are you passionate about transforming outdoor spaces into breathtaking havens of natural beauty? Do you have a knack for creating eye-catching landscapes that leave a lasting impression? If you’re a skilled Landscape Design, Sales and Estimator looking for your next exciting opportunity and a place to call home, we want to hear from you.

At Quiet Nature, we believe that every outdoor space has the potential to become a masterpiece. Our team is dedicated to creating exceptional landscapes that exceed our clients' dreams. We take pride in our commitment to quality, sustainability, and innovation, and we're looking for a talented individual to join us in our mission.

As a Landscape Sales, Design, and Estimator, you will:

  • Collaborate with clients to understand their vision and needs.
  • Create stunning landscape designs that incorporate creativity and functionality.
  • Provide detailed cost estimates and proposals for potential projects.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, contractors, and team members.
  • Actively participate in sales and marketing initiatives to grow the business.

We are seeking a candidate with:

  • Proven experience in landscape design, sales, and estimating.
  • Strong proficiency in design software (e.g. Dynascape, SketchUp, Vectorworks).
  • Excellent sales and negotiation skills.
  • Organization and time management abilities to meet project deadlines.
  • Exceptional communication skills to convey your design concepts effectively.

Hardscape Crew Member/Softscape Crew Member ($20-26/hour) – You’re looking to start out or are in the early stages of your career in the industry either building or planting, or both! You’re passionate about the outdoors and have a strong desire to work in a dynamic, team-oriented environment. Little to no experience is necessary for this position at Quiet Nature. You’ll spend your time working alongside seasoned crew members and highly experienced lead hands and crew leaders learning and gaining the skills to advance within the company.

 

Hardscape Lead Hand/Softscape Lead Hand ($25-$32/hour) – You’ve gotten your feet wet and your hands dirty in the landscaping industry and you’re eager for more. You have a desire to lead, and you have five years of experience either building or planting (or both!) and you’re looking for a place to call home. We have a place for you! You’ll work with some of the top crew leaders in the industry where you’ll continue to hone your skills and grow your leadership potential within the company.

 

Hardscape Crew Leader/Softscape Crew Leader ($30-$40/hour) – You’re highly motivated and experienced in the landscape industry and eager to play a pivotal role in supervising and coordinating daily activities of our landscape crews. You have 10 years of experience, a passion and commitment to delivering exceptional outdoor spaces and are looking for a place where you can share your skills and experience with those around you, Quiet Nature is the place for you!

 

Horticulturist ($25-$30/hour) – You’re a green-thumb enthusiast with a passion for plants and the great outdoors.  You have a knack for nurturing nature’s beauty and a deep love for all things botanical.  You’re a dedicated and knowledgeable Horticulturist with at least five years of professional experience who thrives in a dynamic environment and will bring their experience to our beautifully unique gardens.  You will help to nurture our green spaces and ensure they flourish. Come grow with us and become a part of something truly special.

 

Landscape Sales, Design and Estimator ($65,000-$80,000 annually) – You’re a creative mind with a passion for transforming outdoor spaces into breathtaking harmonious environments with over a decade of proven experience in the industry. As a Landscape Design, Sales, and Estimator, you will be the driving force behind creating stunning outdoor spaces.  You’ll use your creative flair to craft beautiful landscape designs, while your estimating skills ensure our projects align with clients’ budgets.  In addition, you will have the opportunity to engage with clients and present your visionary concepts.  Your creativity, attention to detail and technical expertise will be essential in shaping the outdoor spaces of our clients’ dreams.

 

Yard Coordinator ($25-$35/hour) - You're a proactive individual with excellent organizational skills and a keen attention to detail and you possess a DZ and AR license. As a Yard Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our yard and equipment. Your primary responsibility will be to oversee the organization and maintenance of the company's yard, including managing inventory, floating equipment to job sites, coordinating equipment maintenance, and supporting overall workflow.
